Officially opened on Saturday 10th August 2019 at 10am by Randwick Mayor Kathy Neilson, Heffron Park Tennis Club celebrated its opening as part of a free community event by Randwick City Council.
The new facility caters for all levels of players in our community, from beginners through to competition standard. The existing outdated tennis facility will be demolished to make way for future new indoor sports facilities.
The $6 million dollar project is managed by Sydney Sports Management Group as part of a 5 + 5 year lease arrangement.

The game of Padel has been likened to ‘tennis with walls’ and ‘squash in the sun’. It is a sport that combines the best elements of tennis, squash and racquetball.
It has gained tremendous popularity due to its simplicity and similarities to already existing racquet sports. In Europe, it has become explosive that it’s overtaken soccer as the fastest growing sport ing the world.
In late September construction of 4 courts concluded at Tennis World North Ryde. Making this the largest centre for Padel in the southern hemisphere!
