Social Impact “Partnership-in-action”

Rally4ever is well placed to make a difference as we continue to work our way through the COVID-19 pandemic. See how Louise Pleming is rallying together through community connection and physical activity for better mental well-being.

Rally4ever was created by Louise Pleming a former ITF and WTA tennis professional and a Tennis Australia national touring coach who captained a victorious Australian Junior Fed Cup team.  Louise currently works internationally as a tennis television commentator.

Louise’s vision is to “rally together” through community connection and physical activity for better mental well-being. The Rally4ever mission is to provide an everyday experience, for those feeling ‘stuck’ in their lives.

Rally4ever is well placed to make a difference as we continue to work our way through the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time there has been considerable discussion in the media about the impact the virus is having on our mental health – and may have on our suicide rates.

For some Australians, the restrictions governments have rightly put in place to combat COVID-19 have been a catalyst for relationships to be strengthened and reaffirmed, including developing new ways to work together. We have seen the renewal and importance of reaching out and being socially connected even while physically separated. However, for many of us, while physical distancing is helping to prevent people from contracting the corona virus, it has also created other problems, including isolation, loneliness and anxiety.

Therefore, when Louise approached Richard Price (CEO, Sydney Sports Management Group) to work in collaboration he was delighted to support Rally4ever and looks forward to building a long-term partnership“SSMG’s aim is to get our local community active and healthy with a wide variety of programs to suit all needs and Rally4ever is certainly making a difference in the lives of those less fortunate”

Today, the program was launched at Rushcutters Bay Tennis Courts in the picturesque surrounds of Rushcutters Bay Park. The free class aims to empower everyone in our community through connection and fitness during these difficult times.
